Andapa Vanilla Beans

Grown and meticulously cured by a passionate 4th generation farmer in their ancestral vanilla farm in Northeastern Madagascar. It is a jungle-like farm in the middle of Andapa basin, where weeds are left undisturbed, medicinal herbs like paracress dot the ground with its golden inflorescences & the V. Planifolia orchids have litchi, banana & jackfruit trees as well as chameleons & tree frogs for company. The green vanilla beans are vine-ripened, meaning they are left on the vine for an extra 2 weeks before being harvested. This adds an extra layer of complexity in flavour. It is then fermented under a delicate balance of sun and shade for 4 months. The beans are delightful to the touch & with an aroma unparalleled.
